Fusion Categories Of
We classify semisimple rigid monoidal categories with two iso-morphism classes of simple objects over the field of complex numbers. In the appendix written by P. Etingof it is proved that the number of semisimple Hopf algebras with a given finite number of irreducible representations is finite.
متن کاملNon-cyclotomic Fusion Categories
Etingof, Nikshych and Ostrik ask in [8, §2] if every fusion category can be completely defined over a cyclotomic field. We show that this is not the case: in particular one of the fusion categories coming from the Haagerup subfactor [2] and one coming from the newly constructed extended Haagerup subfactor [3] can not be completely defined over a cyclotomic field. On the other hand, we show that...
متن کاملFrom Partial Model Categories to ∞-categories
In this article we study the problem of extracting an ∞-category from a relative category. We introduce partial model categories, which are relative categories that satisfy mild versions of the axioms of a model category. Since these axioms involve only the weak equivalences, they are general enough to include the vast majority of the relative categories one encounters in practice. We show that...
متن کاملOPERADIC CATEGORIES, A∞-CATEGORIES AND n-CATEGORIES
When I offered to talk here, I asked myself if I had something suitable for a nice short 20 minute talk, and sent in an abstract about “cores of spaces and spectra”. However, since I have been given 50 minutes, I have decided to scrap that for something a little more substantial. It is brand new. I assume that I am among friends and that you won’t mind if some of what I say turns out to be nons...
متن کاملCyclotomic Integers, Fusion Categories, and Subfactors
Dimensions of objects in fusion categories are cyclotomic integers, hence number theoretic results have implications in the study of fusion categories and finite depth subfactors. We give two such applications. The first application is determining a complete list of numbers in the interval (2, 76/33) which can occur as the FrobeniusPerron dimension of an object in a fusion category. The smalles...
